If you’re a new dog owner or new to dog training you’ve likely never experienced a dog obedience class before. So you may have some questions. You may wonder what a “dog training facility” even is. How is one facility “better” than another?
Let’s take a look inside the new iCareK-9 Rockville, Maryland training facility that recently opened. This facility is located close to the Rockville Town Center, convenient and easy to get to for anyone in and around Montgomery County.
You’ll find most training facilities are equipped with just what they need to do the job effectively. The training area is 1800 square feet – that’s about the size of a small retail store and more than enough space to train 20 dogs and their owners. This indoor facility is heated (an important amenity in the cold winter months), has padded floors so your dog is not slipping all over the floor, a bathroom for you, a doggie bathroom area for your pup and plenty of parking spaces. The ample space inside allows for you to train your dogs in the essentials of “sit, down, come, & stay” using a training place board, and not feel like you’re on top of your neighbors.
These are the basic requirements that you want to look for when you’re considering an indoor training program for your dog – a controlled climate (heat/air conditioning), padded floors and plenty of space.
While we’ve provided a pretty thorough description of our training facility, nothing beats experiencing it first hand for yourself. If you’re local we’d love for you to come see our new space. You’re welcome to watch one of our classes in session and see not only what the inside of our new location looks like, but also how our trainers and dogs interact.
Our new facility is located at 110 Frederick Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850. If you’d like to schedule a visit please call us at 240-551-6531.
